Admitted to practice in the Higher Courts of Pakistan.

Arif established the law firm in 1980. The main areas of practice were Civil & Property law. In 1990’s due to his several contributions for law he was offered the position of Public Prosecutor.

By the mid of 2002 when his daughter Sonya Syed joined the legal profession they expanded the areas of practice to Corporate and Commercial law.

After his retirement as the Public Prosecutor he holds the advisory position in the firm.

Sonya commenced practice as a litigation lawyer handling a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation cases.

Besides her education in Law her additional tangible asset is her Degree in Business Administration (B.B.A), which provides her an edge in understanding business and commercial activities from an entirely different perspective.

With an excellent grounding in litigation and an interest in company law she expanded her practice sphere to the corporate sector. She has dealt in wide range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and stock exchange related work, equity, market related finance, servicing financial institutions.
